A&M is sitting pretty...can we close it out?
All teams except KU, aTm, UT eliminated from Regular Season Championship.Code:NR TEAM CONF OVRL REMAINING ================================================= (3) Kansas 13-2 26-4 UT (6) Texas A&M 12-2 24-4 @UT, MIZ (15) Texas 11-3 21-7 aTm, @KU (rv) Kansas State 9-5 20-9 @OSU, OU Texas Tech 7-7 18-11 BAY, @ISU Missouri 6-8 17-10 CU, @aTm Oklahoma 6-9 15-13 @KSU Oklahoma State 5-8 19-9 KSU, @BAY, @NEB Nebraska 5-8 16-11 ISU, @CU, OSU Iowa State 5-9 14-14 @NEB, TTU Baylor 3-11 13-14 @TTU, OSU Colorado 2-12 6-18 @MIZ, NEB
In case of tie, co-champions will be named with Tiebreaker only used for Conference Championship seeding purposes.
Texas #1 Seed Scenarios:
- Must win out
Texas A&M #1 Seed Scenarios:
- Win Out or
- Beat UT, Lose to MIZ, UT beats KU
Kansas #1 Seed Scenarios:
- Must Beat UT with aTm losing once
I can't believe it's this tight of a race in the final week of the season. A&M has to win at Texas for a chance at the championship, otherwise, the UT-KU game is for it 'all' (Yes, I realize there would be co-champions, but lets be honest, top dog gets the bragging rights)
Capt. Mike - My, how the mighty have fallen.
sorry genius, we already beat kansas and t.u.. not sure where you get your logic from...? in any case, we'll beat t.u. this wednesday.
Big 12 Tiebreakers - the four situations I posted above are the four possible outcomes based on these guidelines:
If Texas wins out, they will win the tiebreaker over Texas A&M based on Division record, and the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.(a) If two teams are tied and they are from different divisions, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the higher seed.
(b) If two teams are tied and they are from the same division, the team with an advantage in head-to-head compe ion shall be the higher seed.
(c) If two teams remain tied, there will be a comparison of overall record against division teams only (10 divisional games).
(d) If two teams remain tied, there will be a comparison of record against the highest ranked team(s) (based upon Conference winning percentage) in the division and proceeding through in order of divisional record.
(e) If two teams remain tied, there will be a *comparison of record against the highest ranked team(s) (based upon Conference winning percentage) in the opposite division and proceeding through in order of divisional record.
(f) If two teams remain tied, the higher seed will be chosen by draw.
If Texas A&M wins out while Kansas defeats Texas, Texas A&M will win the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.
If Texas defeats A&M but loses to Kansas, Kansas will win the conference outright.
If Texas A&M and Kansas both beat Texas but A&M loses to Missouri, Kansas will win the conference outright.
and so on and so on and so on....

I don't know what it is but whaaaaaaaaaattttt???
so its the divisional record, if t.u. beats A&M and kansas, then? i must apologize, although you must understand there is a zero chance t.u. beats A&M and kansas. i already told the t.u. fans here...just that.
good work![]()
You lost me when you called a team that can't win on the road "mighty."
CorrectIf Texas wins out, they will win the tiebreaker over Texas A&M based on Division record, and the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.
This is only for purposes of seeding in the conference tourney. A&M and KU would share the conference ' le'.If Texas A&M wins out while Kansas defeats Texas, Texas A&M will win the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.
Correct. If Texas defeats A&M but loses to Kansas, Kansas will win the conference outright.
Seriously. Its completely embarassing to have the same conf record as Neb.
UT is playing well. I could see them winning @ KU or home vs atm. Most likely scenario if you are going with the home team fave is KU beating UT and UT beating atm giving KU the outright B12.
The only way UT beats A&M is if A&M plays D like they did against Baylor. Not likely, because I am sure Billy is working on them about that very point right this minute.
I seriously think A&M is too good offensively to be kept in check by Texas' defense, and too good defensively to allow UT to out score them.
I see a good game, but A&M will win by 7-11 pts.
nah, my 'crazy' prediction will come true. t.u. isn't capable of beating A&M on any court...t.u. loses the next two.
And neither is ttek.
I guess if A&M blows the next two can we call it "pulling an OSU"?
Lame flame. Such is what we have come to expect from you, however. You really should take lessons from a few of your aggrot friends here.
I don't know what you're talking about. I just remember 15-1 being a very distant memory.
I also love the moral and stylistic high ground that CaptMike has adopted the more his team has sucked.
Days of him bleating "RPI" are also a thing of the past.
For that to happen we'd have to borrow a DeLorean with a flux capacitor, go back to the beginning of the conf. season, and then proceed to lose all our road games. Then we could call it "pulling an OSU". Losing two important games in a row is just "pulling a dirk".
Are we both at work posting on this message board?
Yes we are - and I have a notice at the top of my screen informing me that I'm at a "non-approved" website.
I have a powerpoint open on my big monitor and this board on my laptop...the illusion is complete.
They have PowerPoint in Arkansas?
And Wal-Mart
