where does manu fit in nikos

Bowen finally got his O going though 5-11 from the field. And if you take away the 1-7 from 3 it looks very nice.

Rasho is having a major game also. He has basically shut down the interior and he's hit some nice buckets from the elbow tonight.

The D from the 2nd quarter on has been suffocating the Knicks. Bruce Bowen has really neutralized J Crawford, as much as anyone can do. Even Brent Barry and Beno Udrih have played some nice perimeter D, particular on their close-outs.

But Bruce Bowen has done it at both ends...he's run the break and scored several buckets in transition. He's being rewarded for his hustle and he is FINISHING! He's even rebounding well tonight.

in pre-game, asked what he liked best about the Spurs, Bruce said kickin the ball up the court more than last year, rather than standing around in half-court.

That's like saying if you take away all the bricks we had last year vs. LA, we woulda been champs.

When Bruce first joined the Spurs, when he ran the break, the best description I could use for him was awkward. Particularly if he tried to lead the break down the center. That would be an automatic "Oh NO!!!!!"

Each year, he's really improved his fluidity and confidence and he isn't muffing his opportunities on the break any more. He lead the break one time tonight, pausing at the FT line like he's supposed to and fed Timmy with a nice bounce pass for a flush.

He is really converting well on the move now and with great confidence. It has been a tremendous year-over-year-over-year improvement.

By the way, Manu had another incredible fast break layup tonight. Jamaal Crawford had great position and Manu did the only thing he could do to save the play. He did a behind the back transfer and scored. A tremendous reaction play that was totally free-lance and instinctive. It will draw a SportCenter highlight I'm sure.

Rasho only getting credit for 2 rebounds is a joke.

If tips counted as boards wed be lookin at close to a double double.

Nesterovic's improvement from last year is pretty astonishing.

Brent Barry also is playing damn good too.

His D tonight was quite impressive.

im so glad we got Rasho, He has greatly improved his interior D, while also getting a real nice elbow shot. He has tuffed up since last season. Way to go Baby face assassin.

    Bowen is showing me something.

I still think he is a bum, but his play this season has been improving.

All I ask is that he stays within his limited skill set.

Hit the 3s, play very good D and finish on those breaks.

If he can hit 65% of his FTs, I'll leave him alone for good.

Bowen is deflecting my criticism. Good for him and the Bowen Backers.

Bowen "a bum" Ghost what external universe is your ether world from? Bowen is an integral part of what will be a championship team again = no one hounds or frustrates Kobe etc. like him with the exception of Artest and Bowen is not a head case but a role model. Agreed he shoot 65% on FTs but a solid player.

Way to man-up Ghost and admit your criticism is as continuous as a gamma ray and can only be deflected but never retracted.

"his play this season has been improving"

what? his steals and RBs and MPG are all down. Certainly that can't possibly be offset by a few more buckets?? crucify him!

Through last night, he's hitting 87.5% of those FTs.

And is tied with Brent Barry and Devin Brown, two notable FT-deadeyes, for leading free-throw percentage on the team.

Still early, but good to see that early confidence working for him.

I love it that Bruce is shooting the corner three and running the breaks to get his points. He's not forcing that ugly ten footer anymore in the last two games ... which what had been making him a horrible offensive player early this year and last year.

Right, hopefully his experiment with his "medium" game is over. Shoot the three, play the D, and lay it in left handed.
