To the largest Tight End contract in the NFL. He's way overpaid for the production he's put out thusfar. But it's backloaded, and hopefully he'll earn most of it.

I'm excited about his blocking skills, and he was a great pass catcher in college. The Broncos just keep getting better and better. I'm sure Travis Henry was psyched when he heard this news. Graham is probably the best blocking TE in the league. Now he just needs to catch about 8 TD's this season.

Good signing as far as talent, money wise I dont think he deserves the contract he got, but he will definately help the Broncos offense, and more importantly, give Cutler a big athletic target in the red zone

Let's take a moment to reflect on the Broncos offense for next season in regards to their skill position players.

    QB: Jay Cutler
    HB: Travis Henry
WR's: Javon Walker, Brandon Marshall, Rod Smith
    TE: Tony Scheffler, Daniel Graham

Their offensive line is always consistent and will once again be anchored by Tom Nalen, and with the return of Matt Lepsis, our o-line will be our strong point again.

Our defense still needs work on the D-line, but still has the fastest Linebacking corp in the NFL. Our secondary is finally stout with the addition of Dre Bly. SHould Bly leave for Washington, we will surely get a lot in return (I'm hearing rumors of getting the 6th overall pick in the draft for him).

The Broncos off season has provided the fuel (if everyone stays healthy) to compete strongly with San Diego for the AFC West crown.

I'm so damn excited for next season.

No way a team will trade the 6th pick in the draft for Bly. The Skins were offering Shawn Springs and a 3rd, but from what Ive read the Broncos are confident that Bly will warm up to the situation and all will be fine. Like you said, lbs-check, secondary-check(although I would like to see them draft a young safety to replace Lynch), o-line-check, qb-check, rb-check(and they have great depth with Bell as a backup), te-check. The only spots I would see for improvment are a speed rushing d-end, and another wr to compliment Walker (Smith is getting ancient andMarshall is more of a slot), like a Meachem or Rice. The addition of big Dan Wilkinson will definately help the interior of the d. So Im confident that after the draft, the Broncos will be stacked and ready to make a run at the Super Bowl. If I was a Broncs fan I would be excited as well

I've heard that the Broncos are offering Bly, the 21 pick, and a 2nd rounder for the 6th and maybe Springs.

Ok, well that makes more sense. Springs is 32, but Im sure he still has 1 or 2 good years left in him, and with the 6th pick they could draft Gaines Adams or Jamaal Anderson, that would be sick

    Broncos | Bailey restructures contract
    Wed, 7 Mar 2007 07:48:36 -0800

Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey saved the team roughly $3.6 million in cap space by restructuring his contract last week.

    This will help too

Jay Cutler to Tony Scheffler = TD

(check the games when Cutler played) Scheffler had a TD in almost every game

Jay Cutler to Daniel Graham = not so much

But Graham was brought in for run blocking as much as he was for pass catching.

Very true J.S., people dont take into account the value of a good blocking tight end, which he is. And take into account that he is pretty athletic and has great hands, he was a great signing for the Broncs. He will help their blocking scheme as much as anything

It would have been crazy had they gotten Kerney, they couldve focused all eyes to Bly. But still, at 21 they could still get a quality CB, and definetly at 6. Graham will help, and Scheffler has the potential to be a Tood Heap kinda guy, no?

I really hope they keep Bly, I was a Denver fan when i was a kid so i've always had a soft spot for them.

Cutler hooked up with Scheffler a lot.

Discounting Cutler's very first NFL game.

Next week, Week 14 against the Chargers, Scheffler 66 yrds 2 tds
Week 15 against the Cardinals, Scheffler 58 yrds
Week 16 against the Bengals, Scheffler 26 yrds 1 td
Week 17 against the 49ers, Scheffler 54 yrds 1 td
