Spurs notebook: Johnson may be sidelined longer

Linton Johnson III could have a stress fracture in his left ankle, which likely would require him to wear a protective boot on his foot for another two weeks.

Johnson underwent an MRI on Monday. The Spurs' medical staff is seeking a second opinion on the results.

"They took 40-something pictures and on two of them it looked like there might have been a line or stress fracture on (the ankle)," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "We have a couple people consulting on it."

Johnson hurt his ankle before the start of training camp.
