Yes, the movie was outstanding. I'm a big fan of the book, and the movie really stayed true to it, so that's cool.
Catch it at the Imax if you haven't seen it, it's worth it.

i heard it was shot in < 60 days , and mainly in front of a green screen.
it looked good enough to rent, but maybe ill see it now
Saw a special on the making of last night. Yup, mostly filmed in front of the infamous green screen.
That's why I consider it a half animation movie. But it looks tight! I am gonna go see it.
Ya. They did a special on it on the History Channel. They filmed it in I think Montreal Canada. All the backgrounds, lakes, etc. were digitally added via use of green screen.
Im pumped to go and see this flick - shame about the delay from America to Australia!
If you can get a copy, read the 300 graphic novel ... i'm not even a fan of graphic novels, but it was still a great read - awesome visuals and style.

I love The History Channel; when I'm in the U.S. I always flip it on when I can. They played Planet of the Apes last year.
I thought it was more around the total of 100,000 Persians, not a million.
estimates range from 300,000 to 2 million. the persian empire was evidently pretty ing huge.
I was watching some show and they said a sequel was already set to get under way.

Awesome movie! It's like a freaking comic book coming to life.
Although in the beginning, watching muscular men for 2 hours felt like I was at some women's strip club or something. But you get over it.
Oh yeah, it has boobs to tip the scale a bit.

I'm going to see it again tomorrow and I'm definitely buying it on DVD.... makes "The Gladiator" look like a ing pussy love story.
I have to say, after Sin city, I was kind of hesitant to see this movie since it was directed by the same guy... he TOTALLY redeemed himself, and then some, with this flick.
I dont care what ANYONE says, Sin City ING SUCKED!
