Artest paused for about a minute in a half before almost breasking down crying twice through the interview. They also said he appoligized to past teams that hes been on and the kings, david stern and a few others. The only time he smiled was when they asked him about how the team received him and how excited he is to play tomorrow. Obviously its very important to him how the team feels about him and i think he loves being in sacto. He sounded very sorry for the situation.


He also said he wants to make it right with his family and willing to help other families who go throught the same scenario, trust me guys this is a different artest then you guys have heard in the past. He didnt have a prepared speach or anything, it came from the heart and sounded so damn sincere.

Kings allow Artest to return five days after arrest

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings will allow Ron Artest to return to the team, five days after his arrest on su ion of domestic violence, the team announced Saturday.

The Kings called a news conference to discuss the return of the controversial forward after missing two games.

The AP guy/gal has it wrong...Artest was excused from all team activities on Monday, the day of his arrest. But whatever.

well of course, no big surprise there. i mean, the troublesome thing about the whole incident was that apparently his wife was being prevented from calling the cops because artest was being an asshole and manhandling her. so when he was trying to leave in his hummer, one would think that she would jump at the opportunity to call the cops and secure herself in a room by locking the door... no, she went out and bashed his hummer's windshield in first....they deserve each other, it's no big deal...i feel sorry for the kids though
