I bought the warranty ($50) so I just get a new one whenever I get the red lights. I've had horrible luck with the 360, so I've had to return a few. They also replace anything you bring (cords etc...)

Not the same thing, but just for information to ebayers. I heard on the Official Xbox Magazine Podcast that if you get kicked off of Xbox Live, they actually lock out that entire console, not just gamertags. So that person who gets kicked off can ebay a system that will not work on Live when you boot it up.

i didn't understand it either... but it looks like the xbox got fixed, so it's worth a try.

If it's been less than a year, you can send it in for a replacement. Microsoft just extended the warranty from 90 days to one year, retroactive to date of purchase.

i turned mine off unplugged it and took the disk out then reconnected it and it was fine......good luck to ya

I tried everything. I still got my old one. ill probably trade it to gamestop for some games. The one i found on ebay looks good if it works like it says it does. the seller is giving me a 30 day warranty. $250 and the original was $400. Ill take that.

Most consoles that are brand new are always, buggy. the hype wait 2 years until the better versions come out.
