He was on the break and probably would have been fouled if he pulled it out....every player would do this.....
The game was out of hand with 10 seconds left and he takes the shot just so he can hit 50.
That play pretty much sums up what Kobe is all about. Disrespect and selfishness.
He was on the break and probably would have been fouled if he pulled it out....every player would do this.....
What sums up Chris Childs is that he is a total scrub.![]()
Even though I hate Kobe....

Not every player in the NBA would do that. The only player I think would only do that is selfish Kobe.
And the last name Childs sums up what you're all about.
owned.![]()
I can't believe a spurs fan and a mavs fan is taking up for Kobe.
What is this world coming to?![]()
To get back on topic,
What does everyone think of kobe and his selfish ways?

I don't see why you about Kobe, was that your gf he bent over the couch in Colorado? I'm gonna tell you what he probably told her that night. GET THE OVER IT!
Why are you mavs fans ruining my thread? The thread is about Kobe and you mavs fans especially mavs fans are the last ones I could think of trying to ruin my thread. I would of thought a laker fan would of done what you jerks did but you fans have no class at all.
Because you're a got.
Kobe didn't need to make that last shot, but I don't blame him for doing it. It got him 50, and many players would have done the same thing. Not all, but many would have to get to the 50 point mark. It's not a big deal. It was at the Staples Center so he wasn't showing up the fans of the opposing team. He was giving what the Lakers fans wanted to see. It might have been a little selfish, but I don't think it was that bad that he did it.
Yeah, my sentiments exactly. I mean, it's like when you want to see your player get the 10th rebound, 10th block to get the double, double, or triple double. Some situation's it's NOT SO bad, but ultimately, it's telling if the player cares about it or not, if it's NECESSARY. Records. Stats. Etc.
Like there had been games where Wade would have a potential triple double, but he wouldn't care. In Kobe's and Arenas case, and even Lebron (and I like Lebron, so I'm being unbiased in this comment right now) they try to go for it.
In Manu's case, most of his big games with big numbers, he's a REAL freak, because he's so SELFless all his crazy games are just incidental, because he's mainly trying to win for the team. Kobe's definitely playing for himself AND the team's along for the ride.
But in that case, meh. Homegame. It took Kobe like 5 shots in the final minute to try to get to 50. So yeah, it was pretty self-serving of him. But it's not *that* offensive if you think about it. Just kind of crude, or crass way of playing the game.
It's like poetry.
Dude, if I had Kobe on my team, I'd want him taking the last shot, every single time.
Which is not to say he isn't a ball hog sometimes - though he's vastly improved this season - but just to say he is probably the single most clutch player in the NBA right now. He's a closer, in baseball terms. So, even though sometimes he's going to miss, I'd want him taking the last shot, or at least getting the ball on every last possession, every time.
so in this thread the only poster who agrees with chris childs is (big surprise), chris childs
All I have to say with the recent rash of "selfish" kobe rants is....we won 2 games.
Also, if anyone of your team's players would of pulled #'s like 65 and 50 back to back these forums would be closed. It's like ing about something that doesn't happen often. It hasn't happened in LA for 40+ years. As a NBA fan, take off the hater glasses and see true talent and greatness for what it is. It's quite sad as fans we can't take off our team colours and see what all of this represents. A player in a league of zone defenses and heightened double and triple teams, scoring like Wilt used to do is astounding.
Peace...
How come you dont blame him? Kobe said it himself that all he care's about is winning. That has nothing to do with the fans. He said I believe when him and Gilbert was going at it, he said he doesn't care about scoring anymore.
All that stuff is behind him. So why when his team starts losing he starts to ballhog like he usually does instead of making his teammates better like Steve Nash. Come on, you know and I know that Kobe wants it to be all about him.
