the war and bush...... i still cant believe he aint dead yet
http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm
Most of America is against the war in Iraq.
Uh, that's not what that poll says.
If you say it enough times, it becomes true.![]()
Maybe that works for you; and, I know it's a common strategy of the Left to repeat lies until they, themselves, believe them. But, the poll says a majority are unhappy with the President's handling of Iraq...not that they're against the war.
Many of those are unhappy because we weren't aggressive enough and sissified the military's rules of engagement for much of the war.
We'll see if those numbers stay the same or change given the success of the surge and the more aggressive rules of engagement.
At least I sourced my post.
What makes you say we wernt aggressive enough?
All i keep hearing about is how we need to bring the troops home and stop torturing prisoners. That seems less aggressive to me.
You seem caught up in that left vs right bull . Im neither you self righteous asshole.![]()
You may have sourced it but your clearly misrepresented the poll's questions. I mean, read the first question. You can't discern from it that the respondents are against the war; just that they are unhappy with Bush's handling of the war.
Big difference.
There are many people, to the right of George W. Bush, who believe we should have sent in hundreds of thousands more troops and not relented until we had secured Iraq.
The Rumsfeld approach has been soundly criticized for not doing so.
Ask youself this; why didn't the pollster just come out and ask the question, "Are you in favor of, or do you oppose, the stated objectives of our military action in Iraq?" or, more simply, "Are you for or against the war in Iraq?"
Personally, I think the President could have been more aggressive and less concerned about diplomacy early on...and, at some points, I would have answered your pollster by saying, no, I'm not happy with the prosecution of the war in Iraq. That wouldn't have meant that I opposed the war, though.
I didn't say you were on the Left you illiterate prick. I merely stated that "repeating a lie until you believe it" is a favorite tactic of the Left. I only suggested that it might also work for you.
Actually, anyone with a brain was saying that if we were going in anyway. I didn't hear you saying anything of the sort back then. You mean the Bush approach.Close enough.
There is a difference. Yes.
Big difference? No. Its a slight difference.
I was drawing a conclusion that I made from the polls.
And yes IF your going to war you should go in full strength.
You did say I was on the left because I am the one who is spreading these "lies"
torture? Bringing troops home? any comments
