wtf is he?
Could the Spurs be interested? He could be a good addition. Needs some work with our shooting coach, but he knows how to play.
the Spurs have 15 players on their roster.
he will probably get more rebounds than oberto.![]()
played his college ball @ texas with tj ford. he always played well and could score down low.....hes about malik roses height tho but carried the Longhorns for like 2 yrs
Since he's a member of the Toronto Raptors, I'd have to say no.
He's member of Toronto no more according to RealGM:
Toronto Releases P.J. Tucker
Press Release - 03/24 - 6:34 PM EST
The Toronto Raptors announced Saturday they have released rookie forward P.J. Tucker. Tucker is currently playing with the Colorado 14ers in the NBA Development League.
Tucker was selected by the Raptors in the second round (35th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft. He was assigned to Colorado on January 5 and recalled by the Raptors on February 5. He was reassigned by Toronto to the 14ers on March 5. He saw action in 17 games with Toronto, averaging 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds. With the 14ers, Tucker has averaged 10.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 19 games.
Toronto’s roster stands at 14 players.
He has been waived after march 1st : he isn't eligible for the playoffs.
I don't think he is worth waiving someone and signing him this season but it can be interesting to sign him for the summer league and for the training camp.
PJ Tucker is an ncaa legend....if he improved his ball handling by like 600% he'd be a good spur.
Tucker could be a great addition. Hes a pretty scrappy player that does a lot of the little things. Might be a nice dirty work guy off the bench.
Too many tats. Can't shoot mid or long range.
Basically a poor man's Charles Barkley.
He might be a Summer League guy that the Spurs take a look at to fill out their roster.
tucker and ford were never teammates
Wow, that's a classy move by Ploto's Raptors.
It's all about family up there.
PJ should never have left Texas after last season, mainly because he is an inside player and only about 6'5" or 6'6" at the most. I just don't see him as an NBA player unless he really improves his ball handling and shooting
I posted about this the day before it was announced. He was waived to make room for Luke Jackson- who I think will turn out to be a great pick-up.
But....the family....
actually, tucker wasnt mainly an inside player. hess basically a SF, although somewhat undersized, but he is a scrappy player that will give you tremendous hustle. remeber, almost every player has to change the way they played from colelge to the NBA, so its not unusual for someone to have to change a little bit. ive seen him in a few d-leage games on tv, and he doesnt look too bad. if he plays with the same amount of hustle that he did at Texas, it could be a good addition. but i dont think he would be eligible for this year's playoffs, and besides, we already have a full roster.
