Malik definitely has to work on this shot selection and not go back to being a black hole on offense. Malik is going to be critical to the Spurs success in the playoffs and we can't afford to have him in Pop's doghouse for the bulk of the season again. Bring the heart and hustle and leave the scoring to someone else. Let the offense come to you will offensive boards and putbacks, not 18 foot jumpers.

His been injured and it would hurt team chemistry to bring him back in, if another big goes down he'll get the chance but until then my guess is he continues to ride the sidelines.
Malik might shoot too much, might not play enough Defense, and may turn the ball over too much. Nevertheless, he sure is short.

I was at the game and for all his dumb shooting, Rose was an effective player, defensively he really blocked out and help both him and TD etc get rebounds, he also dove after a loose ball.
Probably was trying too hard but in my book on average = more effective than Horry.

None of the bigs aside from Duncan is good enough to be used in every situation in every game. Even Malik.
I love Malick and I don't care who knows it. The guy comes to play, sometimes he does good things, and I think he does more good things than bad, sometimes he does bad things, but the guy is making a lot of money for playing a game I would love to be able to play at this level, so I really don't think being called a dip will really bother him. He is living the dream.
I still think not playing him last year cost this team.
