The Spurs have no chance in of catching the Suns for the #2 seed.
Hey everyone! I wanted your opinion regarding whether or not the Spurs can take the second seed in the West. Although the Spurs lost tonight, they remain only 3 games behind the Suns. Only? Yes, only. In my opinion, the Suns have not played great basketball since this afternoon and they have a much harder schedule remaining. The Suns play the Spurs, the Lakers (twice), the Jazz and the Nuggets. I honestly believe they can lose 3 games right there. The Spurs on the other hand have the Suns and the Nuggets. However they can have tough games against the Wolves and Grizz (like tonight). I did not include the Mavs because I figured that game would not mean anything to them and will be resting for the playoffs. What is your take? Go Spurs (despite that horrible loss)![]()

Anything's possible. Last year the Mavs had four injured guys out at various times in April which *aided* (NOT gave, don't want to piss off sensitive Spurs fans) the division to the Spurs. That said, I don't see the Suns losing 3 games out of the next ten...although, they did just go 5-4 of the last nine, right? So, who the heck knows at this point.
Spurs should just focus on their own damn selves and let whatever happens happen.
No chance at catching the Suns.
Pop should sit the starters for bulk of the minutes until end of the season--rest them for playoffs.
Spurs are fine with the 3rd seed.
Spurs are fine with 3rd seed, which means they will play AT Phoenix for the second round, right?
Am I doing this set up correctly? If I am, why does everyone automatically say we'll [Mavs vs. Suns] end up seeing each other in the Playoffs?
No one is writing an article about how the Suns have to go through the Spurs first
Ginobili will dominate that series.
Good luck with all that!
