Would you trade Dice K and Jeff Franceour for Chase Utley and Gil Meche?

How many times do you really think Meche is going to have a solid performance? I know he did well this week but I still think overall that he is crap, but Utley is hard to pass up considering there aren't a lot of good 2nd basemen. I have him on my fantasy team and no way I would give him up.

Utley and a pitcher better than Meche... yes. This trade, no.
Utley is the best player in that deal from a fantasy standpoint because of his unique production as a 2B. Matsuzaka had a wonderful first start, but I'm not sure that we can conclude yet that he's more valuable (either in a real world sense or a fantasy sense) than Utley. Given what Francouer did last year, he's a fourth outfielder (most likely) in a 12-14 team league; Meche is a 4th or 5th starter in such a league.
If I'm getting Utley and Meche for Matsuzaka and Francouer, I know I'm getting the best player in the deal without giving up much that's actually proven. I'd think harder if it was a keeper league -- and harder still if it's a keeper league that doesn't build in salary inflation from year-to-year. But generally, if you can get a guy who is legitimately a 1st round pick who is the best at his position (like Utley) while giving up guys that aren't the best at their positions, you've made a really great deal.
Said differently, I wouldn't trade Utley to get Matsuzaka.

I couldn't believe how far he dropped. I had him number four or five on my list and I was praying you didn't pick him.
I accepted the trade. Hope Dice K doesn't turn into Pedro Jr.
It is a keeper league, so it was harder for me to part with Dice K than it would have been in any other league.
Meche might put up decent numbers, but wont give alot of wins due to the Royals suckiness.
Meche was a filler. He won't be in my starting rotation when Jered Weaver gets healthy.
Yeah, I was amazed he was still there at pick 11. How on earth can you pass that up? I didn't even have to think about who to pick at that point.
Although I think Matsuzaka is the real deal, there are better pitchers. There is nobody better at 2B than Utley and though Pedroia has potential, I would never have him as my everyday 2B. In fact, I picked him up in my league but for backup purposes cus he can play SS as well.

well crap if Weaver replaces Dice K, then this is a fantastic trade.
Dice K could implode, he could get hurt.
Utley is a more proven commodity.

Dude needed a second baseman. Pedoria has a bunch of upside in a keeper league.

Man, thats gay. He is givin you way better deals than he is me and I am tryin to actually help the guy out.
I don't really want to give up Wright and Zambrano. I'd be very weak at pitching without Zambrano, now that I gave up Dice K. And Wright is younger and better than Ramirez. I may have to do this one though.
