If the Spurs don't win it all this year, is it over?
Is 2007 the end of the line?

So who's the smart money on where the Spurs will pick in the 1st round of this year's draft?

If they can get rid of Scola's rights and somehow find their way into the top 20 they could really get an impact player to strengthen the bench with youth.

No. If the Big 3 can be kept healthy we have just as good a shot in 2007-8.
Duncan seems to have done fine this year healthwise, if he can turn it on like last years playoffs, look out. Best player in league.

Ditto Manu. Every reason to think he will do just as well as last year and perhaps as well as 2005. Only a brain fart away from 3rd Finals in 4 years.

Ditto Tony. Was looking great until Artest mugged him to reaggrivate injury in Kings series.

82 games is too much. When you add playoffs and summer stuff like Olympics or Summergames, it can jump to over 100 games. There is just no healing time. I don't care how good of shape a player stays in.

I'm big on using the whole roster during the season, thus utilizing all the talent while spreading the wear and tear. CIA Poop is not, altho he is doing so much better these last 25 games.

Spurs have reached 55+ wins in 7 straight seasons. Only one other team in NBA history has done the same. Why would it stop after this year? Duncan isn't going anywhere.

See the draft thread that's floating around. If the Spurs do trade up into the top 20 they'll get a very good player.

Whoever loses in the playoffs in 2006, that means it's over?

Great logic there. That means its over for Dallas too.

Dallas - lost in 2001 to SA, lost in 2003 to SA, beat SA in 2006 but took 7 games, fell flat in the Finals.

    This is getting old.

Not at all Spurs have another 3 years at least of Timmy in his prime and i think they will have a good offseason and be even better next year. If they don't win it this year, Spurs in the next few years will have a great shot at their 4th ring in the Duncan ERA.

Yeah it was for you last year. Or have you forgotten how the Heat waxed you jackasses after going up 2-0? Dallas is great at losing to inferior teams that is for sure.

Actually, 2 other teams have done it. Not just one.

    Boston with 9

We are tied with Lakers at 7.

It's not going to get any easier with Duncan and Bowen getting older and beat up. IMO, those are the Spurs two most important players for post-season sucess, because Duncan sets the tone on both ends of the court, and Bowen takes a lot of defensive pressure off of other guys by (usually) shutting his man down, or making him work VERY hard. As long as those two guys keep playing at a high level, the Spurs will always be in contention. But take away one of those guys, and the Spurs will have some SERIOUS issues.

I really don't post much but enough is enough from the Dallas Trolls, you idiots talk TOO MUCH ! You haven't won anything yet! You act like your team has already won the freaking Championship. It probably be good to stay a little humble until you actually win something (if you even do win). History says you probably won't!

NO, TD is still the best player in the league, the only reason why his nubers have slipped over the years is because now hes not carrying all the load(when sometimes he should). Parker is still growing and ginobili has some years left to keep stunning us. We've got a great FO and 2008 nd this draft could give us some more options.
