Jazz, Heat, Magic, Red Sox, White Sox
[/thread]
There are 5 total teams in the NBA, MLB, and NFL (combined) whose team names do not end in the letter 'S'. (Note: city names do not count.)
Who can name all 5 first?
Jazz, Heat, Magic, Red Sox, White Sox

do the red sox and the white sox count??
edit: my bad, didnt see spurminator's post
Jazz was the first. Sox teams shouldn't count; that's just spelling a plural word in a funny way.
Wait, what does this have to do with the Spurs now?
White Sox: Tony's dad's from Chicago
Red Sox: They beat a New York team on way to their first championship in the modern era; same for Spurs.
when thespurs play, they where white socks
So is Jazz, in a way.
In the beginning, when Rastafarians who had migrated to New Orleans were experimenting with new forms of music, what came to be known as "Jazz Music" was called "Jah's Music." Obviously, this was not relatable in non-Rastafari culture, so the spelling and pronunciation were changed.

Red Sox - With their new Japanese ace pitcher the Sox are the hottest "international" club in MLB. The Spurs have long been the big international club of the NBA.
Jazz - The Jazz were originally in New Orleans and later moved to Utah. The current team "in" New Orleans are the Hornets, a division rival of the Spurs.
