Husband frozen out

A wife faces up to 10 years in jail after locking her disabled husband in her car so she could enjoy a night at the casino.

Judy Fairbanks, 52, was charged with neglect after leaving Charles, 58, in subzero temperatures, reports the Daily Mirror.

Casino guards in Iowa found him asleep in a car park with a note saying: "I have a disability. Do not be alarmed. I am resting. Do not call security."

Police, who found Fairbanks at a roulette table, said her husband was left for an hour in - 2C (28F).

That's not cold at all....if away from the wind, he'd be fine. Still, it's deplorable to leave an invalid locked up...even though it was only an hour. 10 years it too much, rapists rarely get a sentence that long....
