If you'll spend that much, you might as well look on eBay for some older iPods. You could probably get a pretty good one, even if it's not the newest model.
My 4th generation 20gb iPod goes for about $50 on eBay and it works just fine for me.
Just looking to buy a good one. Willing to spend up to and around $200. Anyone have any ideas?

depends on what you're looking for. new 2gb nanos go for $150, 4gbs are $200. 30 GB is $250. the refurbs are cheaper and have the same warranty. my 30GB gives me about 6-8 hours of playtime on a full charge, the nanos get better life. i don't know anything about other brands.
I just bought an RCA MP3 player for $40 that works great. 2GB memory with a 1.5 screen. Works for me.
the iPod.

I hated my iPod ... I've got an iriver that I love, and it has an FM receiver built in.

I think it was around $160, a single AA battery lasts forever (not built in), and it's very easy to use.![]()
I bought my mom one of the sandisk models this past year for christmas. She loves the simplicity of it and it only cost about 70 bucks.
To each his own. I have an ipod. i only paid for half of it. before that i used an iriver type deal like Spurswoman, who i find attractive...

I bought a 20 gig Dell Music Jukebox for $200 about 4 years ago and iit was good for 4 years.
I've got a 2G Nano. Love it. $149.
I have a 6GB SanDisk Sansa and I love it. It's slightly bigger than a Nano but has a nice large screen and plays video. I've seen the 8GB model for about $200. And to my knowledge it is the only one out there that has similar accessories as the iPod as far as a speaker docking station and what not.
With that said, iPods are nice if you are okay with having to use iTunes
you don't have to use iTunes. There's anapod.
Thanks for all the advice!
can't go wrong with the ipod.
Easy to use, lots of accessories out there for it.
don't get a ipod they are !
get a creative.

The accessories are cool, but it's not easy to use (it wasn't for me, anyway) when your hands are sweaty from either working out or working in the yard ... which is the only time I really use(d) it.
*shrugs*
If we're goin with that logic I've dropped my 60 gb video ipod about 30 times getting out of my car or having other people drop it and it still works perfectly, the screen is a little scratched but it works jsut like new. I got it off of ebay brand new last year for I think $350 and I'm sure you can find it in your price range now.
I just bought a phone that plays mp3s.
people who hate on the ipod are just too poor to buy one.one hundred million ipod sold they must be doing something right.
Right on. I love my Zen Vision: M. It works great. Haven't had any problems with it. Screw iPods.
I have an Ipod 4 GB mini & a 4 GB Nano.
