Stern is going to do to Artest what he always wished he could have done to Dennis Rodman. I think he's going to try to "fire" him from the NBA, but the PA will get the suspension to about the 10 game mark by the time it's done. Remember the Vernon Maxwell incident from about 8 years ago- he got 10 games for going into the crowd. There is a precedent for this.
Life. This guy does not reflect well at all on the league and that's saying something. Sprewell was suspended for most of a season for getting into it with a coach in practice. Here we have a player leaving the court area and going into the seats to attack a fan. To me that warrants a more severe punishment, regardless of what the fan did to provoke the attack.
When you factor in how the man has behaved during his NBA career then I think he deserves to have the book thrown at him.
