Oh Goody!
What do the Braves have in common with the Spurs?
1 - Both teams have the best winning percentage in their sport over the last 15 years.
2- Neither team is a media darling. The MLB press would rather talk about the Mets, and the NBA press would rather talk about the Suns and Mavs.
3 - Both teams place a high emphasis on personal character and clubhouse chemistry.
4 - The model of success for both teams over the years has been predicated on preventing the other team from scoring... defense for the Spurs, and pitching/defense for the Braves.
And finally...
5 - Both teams are going to win a championship this year!!!
Too bad the Spurs don't have their own channel like TBS so I could watch every game like all of America gets for the Braves.![]()
They both won their first championship during a strike-shortened season?

They also win a lot of games and don't have to make big splashes in free agency to do so. Both have deep farm systems (Spurs farm system being people like Scola, Mahinmi, Sankidze?). Bobby Cox and Gregg Popovich are former GMs of the teams who later turned their focus solely on being head coach/manager and being there for over 10 years plus. Both have won coach/manager of the year once.
Atta baby Kent, there playing the Mets now.
6 - No player from either team has ever been in my kitchen.
What about your bathroom?
