We will have to set up a multi-server set up very soon. And the second server looks like it's going to cost a ridiculous amount of money per month because the amount of posts/traffic here is crazy (which I'm not complaining about).
And since I'm not willing to keep a site open and pay $800-$1000 a month to do it, just to have people cuss me out every day about how "not fair" I am, then we'll have to figure some stuff out.

I didn't even notice the ads until this thread. But I went and looked and even clicked on one in case that helps you out.
Okay, I don't know why people are getting all into this, but clicking on those links at the bottom of the forum won't bring us any money. They aren't pay per click ads or anything, just something else we are working with.
To recoup costs, we would have to put some plan into place to get money. Such a plan is not in place currently.

Cash in, with the traffic this place gets, you could recoup a significant amount with ad revenue, the key is just to avoid pop-up ads and crap that scares people away. When I had a site a few years back I got a decent amount just through text ads.
