I dont' know if this is the worst fan eruption, if I remember correctly at a Raider home game, some guy got stabbed repeatedly by another fan. And how about those two yankee Relief pitchers who pummeled some guy in the pitchers bullpen. I don't hate the NBA players or athletes because they make a lot of money. But it does irk me when they forget who it is who pays their salaries. US, THE FANS.
I'll never forget back in 1983 while in a convention in Kansas, one of my co-workers went up to Moses Malone for an autograph, and the guy told him to F**k off and "get the "F**k away from me." The guy was totally stunned, as were Dr. J and another Sixer who were beside him. This guy had season tickets and went to all the Spurs games. That left a bad taste on all our mouths. As a guy who worked in retail for over 20 years, "the customer is always right" was a motto I lived by. In this instance, like it or not, we are the customers. I know that in this instance the cutomers were not right in throwing objects that can physicaly hurt or maim anyone not just players. But the bottom line is that we the fans pay all the bills. PERIOD.
and for the most part, I think the majority of all the players have forgoten this. In all sports.
