I read a book recently, and in the middle of the story, the author mentioned "the nameless one who shot Johnny Lennon". It took a minute for the penny to drop into the slot, but he didn't want to give the asshole even one more piece of publicity. If you really hate this piece of , don't click on any more web links for "getting inside the mind of a killer" to see what made him do it. I'll tell you what did: Columbine and all of the other school shootings and the publicity and buzz they generated.
That's only part of it. He was the invisible man, and he hated it. He wanted visibility. He also wanted to die.
Visibility is worthless if you're dead. Not to mention I've never met an anti-social person that wanted attention -- that's why they're anti-social in the first place.
Why send the video to NBC then? Did he think they wouldn't play it and web host it endlessly?

I saw the videos last night the guy obviously had some serious issues, quite son of a , then he shoots those two people and goes off on a power trip.
The duchebag was a sociopath look it up also I wanna say he was a selective mute also,(wikipedia covers both,and in no way am I anyway capable of making any of these statements as a doctor these are all just opinions). Unfortulently all this coverage and disccusion of him was his master plan and if you think the examination of him is uncalled for vist amazon.com and search for books discussing mass murders the query will result in many hits. He can certainly can take the claim to fame of being up there with other worthless sons of s. Speaking of his parents anybody hear they have made attempts on thier lives?

School shootings make the news because they're not that common. Columbine was eight years ago. It's not like there are copycats going around every single day because they see some guy pull it off. Crazy people are going to do what they're going to do.
How can you blame something that happened 8 years ago, and say 'this is why that guy shot up VT?' The guy shot up VT because he was a nut.

Perhaps I was bit too specific. I meant to imply public shootings, not neccessarily just in school. Malls, workplace, schools, all of it. Didn't take long for another one, did it? Between the Utah mall, VT, and Johnson Space Center today, I'd say they're becoming pretty ing commonplace.
