Avatar size help !

I can't use some avatars because the max size is 160 by 80 pixels or 273.4 KB (whichever is smaller)..

However, a lot of members here have bigger files as avatars

How do u do it ?

Vinnie Johnson had a .gif avatar so i tried one and it didnt work...so i tried his just to see if it would work and it wouldnt work when i tried it..we need more size for the avatars..

If/when we upgrade the server, we'll increase the avatar size. Right now I'm considering reducing the signature size. Quite a few people's sigs are over 20MB. That's right - MB, not KB.

you should definitely reduce it then. i turned them off a while ago, it's much easier to scan long threads that way.

Nacho needs to use his own re-sizer Your sigs are 16MB and 17MB.

I believe the RTM's signature is (or was) over 40MB.

I'm not saying you have to do anything right now. But most forums won't let you have a sig that's even close to 1MB.

edit: My bad - your top one is 1.7MB - but your bottom one is 16MB.

I made those sigs to see if I could break some sort of record for the longest signature on the www. I still haven't seen one as long have you?

But signatures are loaded from 3rd party sites, not spurstalk right?

Bro that Charger helmet you have in your sig has been floating aroung the www since I posted it last season, It was from was a person who right clicked a gif I made. Why settle for a screen shot Jpeg when you can have the original gif?
