In defense of Thorne, I was watching the game (I am an O's fan and have the MLB package), and he made the remark very off the cuff. They weren't making a big deal about it or lingering on the topic or trying to make it an issue. Just a statement and then a chuckle then back to the game. He obviously just misheard or misunderstood something in the past.
