No.
Edit: I take it back (because of Stephen Jackson). Probably yes... who will mentor this dude?
As possibly a backup for Parker if he's willing to accept the role as a backup. The Kid's got potential, just keeps getting caught up with the wrong crowd, Any thoughts??
No.

let see what the playoffs do first
i think we should let him at least work out with us this summer. give him a spot on the summer league team and see how he pans out.
The people who think Parker shoots too much would have a heart attack watching Telfair chuck shots left and right
Thats what I think too. Even if we do go on to win the championship this year it's no secret that we need to get some younger legs. We are in desperate need for a scoring guard off the bench (or for when Parker goes into sleep mode as usual) to provide a real spark. When Duncan's not out there passing to teamates Manu is really the only player who can create his own shot off the bench. I say give him a shot. Stephen Jackson didn't go Psycho until he left SA. lol
Boston just fired him yesterday. Somebody will have a chance at him.
People bring up this whole Stephen Jackson thing like it was a happily ever after story. It wasn't. He managed to conceal his true nature for the better part of two years, then left for less money on the way to more money and huge amounts of trouble. Not exactly a developmental success.
As for Telfair and "the wrong crowd"? The wrong crowd is always there, in and around professional sports.
i say we stay clear from him... i dont reckon his a project anymore = busts
Players seem to WANT to play for us because we have a solid foundation. As far the the mentoring part, I don't know Parker maybe?
Yeah it is risky. And thats even if he's willing to accept coming off the bench.
The only "spark" Telfair will provide is when the hammer hits the s casing.
He's ing horrible. If you look at his stats, it's obvious he can't operate in limited minutes. He's never even shot 40%. Makes Iverson look like Ray Allen.
Here's the most stinging indictment: ing Portland gave up on his gangsta wannabee ass.

Rephrasing my earlier statement: Are we on the same page or not?
Against. A leopard doesn't change his spots, although he can use them for camoflage.
*lol*. Ok. Got your point. Just my 2 cents though.
Jim Rome was semi-joking that Boston just kept him around to make sure they had a few extra ping-pong balls in the lottery.
Why the Spurs would want to give him a "chance" is beyond me.
How do I put this delicately......
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
*deep breath*
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
He's a freaking thug with an ego problem. You can't coach a player who thinks he's the best player in the league. If we're going to take a chance on a crazy boy, let's at least get someone like Artest who can play defense.
Stay away.
Can't shoot, can't run a team. Troublemaker. Another NY City, media-infatuated, fraud.
Why bother?
No.
Kid should have went to Louisville.
yes, agree
Yes. He has talent, and his stock is low. He's a high risk / high reward kind of guy, and the Spurs can just cut his ass if he screws up. The Spurs need to take some chances to get younger.
Yes, I would love to see Telfair in the silver and black.
