Great movie.
Then you don't get it....
Guys, care to elaborate more? I don't get it.
Oh so it is one of those must be older than... jokes.![]()
Somewhere out there on that horizon
Out beyond the neon lights
I know there must be somethin' better
but there's nowhere else in sight
It's survival in the city
When you live from day to day
City streets don't have much pity
When you're down, that's where you'll stay
In the city, oh, oh.
In the city
I was born here in the city
With my back against the wall
Nothing grows, and life ain't very pretty
No one's there to catch you when you fall
Somewhere out on that horizon
Faraway from the neon sky
I know there must be somethin' better
And I can't stay another night
In the city, oh, oh.
In the city
Thanks guys. I have watched a lot of movies but have not really seen this.
1979? Star Wars was also 1979, right?
Star Wars was 77, I thought?
ESPN radio has been playing that audio clip all week in Dallas. Everytime I hear it I kind of chuckle because I was pretty sure that the guy who said it got his butt kicked.
Star Wars was '77.
For those of you who haven't seen "The Warriors", you're missing a classic.
That guy in the pic (Luther) is clanking the bottles calling out the Warriors...cause they are after them...it sounds menacing the way he's calling them out...but in this case...it's the Mavericks...who are now constantly getting called out...to come out to play...
I was born in '75, but have watched some classic movies, and yes, Star Wars comes into mind.
Probably because it was not a popular hit in the Philippines. Former president Marcos ran our country that time.
EDIT: Oh, ok. Star Wars was shown in 77.

I have LITERALLY watched that flick over 100 times.
that movie is cheesy as . gangbangers wearing makeup
that being said, the first time I saw it I was really into it.
So those of you that haven't seen The Warriors don't understand Shaq's "CAN YOU DIG IIIIT?" from their championship parades.
