Word! I don't even pay attention to other teams during the playoffs, so I haven't even read one Mavs fan post. I'm only interested in the Spurs, and once they are gone, so am I. But it is funny how the trashtalking lowlifes have vacated the premises here.

Nellie explained it very clearly in the post-game. They got Baron back from injury and made a late run to squeeze into 8th seed. He thinks that had Baron not been on ty teams (Hornets) and not career-hampered by injuries, that Baron would have had a career up their with the very best.
Those 2 early fouls on Baron were nearly the game (I think Pop would have pulled Baron then, including to punish him for the sheer reckless, unleader-like stupidity of the 2nd foul), but Nellie made a huge coaching gamble, left Baron in, he played 44 minutes and got only 2 more PFs, and won the bet.
Baron or no Baron, the 8th seed Warriors have season home record as good as the 3rd seed Spurs' home record (meaning the Warriors also have season road record as ty as the 13th place TWolves, except when the Warriors play in N. Texas
