i dont think im alone on this but i saw we remove Horry and replace it with Big Shot. Infact the nba should retire the name big shot
Does anyone in here know why certain people (e.g. George Karl, and I think Bill Walton?...among others) insist on calling Robert Horry " y"??
Am I missing something here? Is it like a noWitzki/noVitzki thing? I always thought it was "Oar-ee" but these occasional " y" advocates keep trippin' me up from time to time...
Are they just being dumb about it or what is it?? Sorry, I usually just ignore the " y" sayers and just keep on with my "Oar-ee"...but I think this issue has reached the brink of my curiosity now...it can't be ignored any longer

how do you edit the thread le?? I want to correct the spelling error, it's kind of annoying me...the fact that i can't correct it
It's ok though. The misspelling seems to emphasise your mispronunciation point.
'orry or Horry?
Is this 'onestly a problem?
There are very few words in English where the leading h is silent.
Horry isn't one of them.
alright, okay...but all I want to know is why then is the most common pronunciation of his name 'Orry?
I just want to know if it's 'Orry or Horry...
If it was a pronoun issue then his name would be Big Shot Him
