they must be passed out from drinking themselves to sleep last night
I know they were praying for us to lose last night. Are there any here this morning??![]()
they must be passed out from drinking themselves to sleep last night
Hey, florige, I'm just down the road off #70, in Mount Airy. My daughter is in Derwood. She called me after Horry's shot and said she couldn't take much more of the excirement.
I really don't want to return to Denver.
Why would you think that Mavs fans are dying to see the Spurs lose? Just because our team is choking doesn't mean we want your team to choke. Only smack-talking idiots think that way.
I am rooting for your team to advance and pop the Suns bubble just like GS has popped the Mavs bubble.
I will confess that I greatly enjoyed the Miami-Chicago series. Talk about popping a bubble...
I doubt Mavs fans wanted us to lose last night,
How does the saying go,
Karma is a ?
Apparently one did:
There was one Mavfan rooting for the Nuggets last night in the game blog, but that was all. I think most Mavfans want a rematch in the WCF.
The animosity directed towards the Mavs in this forum is a direct result of the number of Mavs fans who have opted to frontrun in here. Their predicament, engineered by Nellie, has been most delightful.
I was/am rooting for the Spurs.
I'd rather see the Spurs stay in it...if the Mavs do go out, the only series left that I really care to see is Spurs - Suns...
and there are Mavs fans here...check the NBA forum![]()
I have a couple of friends that are big Mavs fans, and I know they are all rooting for the Spurs, mostly because they hate the Suns.
I do hope GS finishes them off tonight, that would be nice!
NO ONE could do to the Mavs what Golden State is doing. It's maddening. Our games against the Mavs always seem to be close, compe ive games. We wouldn't dare play the run an gun offense and we certainly don't have the athleticism to play the swarming defense that they employ either.
That being said, I know we could beat the Mavs but not like this. On the other side of it...the Warriors have that same "ah , not again" look in their faces when they play against us that Dallas has when they play the Warriors.
I wonder if the Mavs can pull this out. They have the talent to do it but its going to be tough. Tonight will be BIG. If the Warriors finish Dallas off and win this series, I think the Mavs fans will root for the Spurs to punish the Warriors like their team got punished. Our rivalry will be put on hold.
The Mavs fans are so traumatized right now that I think they want to see Golden State be brought back to Earth and see the world look normal again.

Cool I'm not the only one I see. I think we take care of business Wed. We took their heart last night. You are not too far from me fellow Spurs brother...
We already know that. Most of the Mav fans (the obnoxious ones) only post in here after the Mavs beat the Spurs or if the Spurs lose like the game 1 loss. Then they're all in this section posting like jackrabbits.
I respect the Mavs organization (except Cuban). I don't respect most of their fans.
I can't believe that GS is handling the Mavs like they are. But they have to make sure they close them out tonight. Alot of people were saying that if GS hadn't had all the injuries they did they would had been higher than a 8 seed.
I'm not going to lie though, I tried rooting for the Mavs last year in the Finals because one they were a West team, and two they had AJ. But I couldn't do it. I mean the way the refs were pretty much for the Mavs that entire series against us. Then during finals they go off throwing and kicking crap around like babies because they thought they got hosed on calls in a game. Thats when I really lost all respect for that team. Well that and the fact that I really don't like Cuban at all.
Is there a Mavs talk . com??
I'd like the Mavs if Cuban could shut the up. But he can't, and I don't.
Good post!
From what I hear locally, the Mavs players (save for Dirk) are putting up a "good front". However, they seem dazed, confused, and out of answers. They're only responding with the same, tired sports cliches that many of us have heard before.
At this point, I don't believe they feel they can beat this Warriors team. In fact, I would venture to say they're having Miami Heat flashbacks again. Remember, this team has lost 7 out of their last 8 playoff games.
As for the fans on the local talk shows, some are in denial, some are in disbelief, while others seem ready to eulogize the team.
Yup...the Mavs are in deep trouble, no doubt...but they are playing at home tonight...should be a great game!
I think GS closes them out tonight. The only way Dallas wins this game will be if Dirk has a monster game. He only seems to have them against the Spurs. (well him and that little turd Devin Harris)
BTW Welcome to board TampaDude.![]()
mav fans are scared less right now and I don't blame them.
I want to see them in WCF. come on pussy es, show up.
Glad the Spurs won, I really want to see Suns/Spurs in Round 2
