Any idea who the local sportswriter was that flipped off Pop? And I still don't understand why this guy would change the subject after you ask him about his comments on the Spurs.
Ken:
Thanks for writing.
The Nuggets very well could be going fishing after Wednesday night.
I won't be.
They aren't my Nuggets, a mistake easily made by somebody who lives in a town where the electronic media is fawning, at best.
Have you heard the story of one of your local sports anchors flipping Gregg Popovich the bird in anger after the San Antonio victory in Game 3?
Reporters from the Express-News told me about it.
Very classy.
Wonder if the guy has fessed up on the air?
The Nuggets won't be at NBA Finals. I will be.
Hope your Spurs are.
If they are, I'll be happy to write a column about how I underestimated them.
Good luck,
Mark Kiszla

Subject: Mark... whats going on?
Mark,
Yet again your Nuggets lost.
What happened? Remember when you said “It has been a great run by the Spurs, including three NBA championships, but it's done.”?
I guess it is done. Done for the Nuggets this year.
Enjoy goin’ fishin.

No clue... maybe Kori knows.
I give him credit for writing back. Usually writers with junk articles backpeddle to oblivion and keep spewing out crap.
Interesting, though, that his response was basically a shot at San Antonio and a statement that his correspondent must be ignorant because he lives in San Antonio.
Defensive much, Mark?
'Underestimated them' is the wrong word. The dude basically torched them to no end.
Payback is a .
It's also curious that he would call the local media "fawning, at best," only to then tell a story of an unnamed sports writer who allegedly made a decidedly unfawning gesture towards Popovich.
Kiszla is an incompetent newspaper writer. You think he would be better in e-mail?
In Denver, they moon George Karl with spread ass cheeks.
I think it's safe to say that the dude knows where his "Enter" key is. Unless he just doesn't know how to use word wrap.
The guy selling peanuts and popcorn in the upper deck will be at the finals too.The Nuggets won't be at NBA Finals. I will be.
Hope your Spurs are.
Touche.
Don wouldnt do that. I put my money on the raging-alcoholic Joe Reinagel

What is he spinning?
Someone should post his reply in some of the Denver Forums, especially that part where the local Denver Sports Columnist writes, "THEY AREN'T MY NUGGETS"!!!
Why would a local sports anchor flip off Pop after a win?
The only guys that would make sense at that point would be Pasacrita or Vexler.
If they were up 3-1, you can be damn sure they would be his Nuggets.
Pathetic that a guy with writing skills and logical reasoning ability at about the 30th percentile can get a column at a major newspaper.
yeah, they were his nuggets when he propagated the hype.
and he didn't write me back, i wrote him four times (once before the series, once for each spurs win).
So you're saying I've got a shot?
You realize that post, despite being very true, was also meant as pure Blaze bait?![]()
I didn't hear about anyone flipping off Pop but I'll ask around.
Don't lie. It was you.
I would expect nothing but the best from you, Bear.
