ALL SPURS FAN IN ATTENDANCE AT TONIGHTS GAME HAVE TO BE LOUD THE ENTIRE GAME...

Tonight's game is pivotal for the Spurs in that we don't want to travel back to Denver. So all you stuck up season ticket holders with the courtside seats get off your lazy but and cheer your team on. I'm tired of watching them not getting into the game; if your not gonna cheer give your seats to somebody else who will! We need the whole stadium rockin'!!

Nobody hates the Mavs as much as I do but I have to give it up to their fans last night. They were rowdy from the start and were standing for the majority of the game.

Watching other playoff teams around the league I noticed the spirit and intensity is lacking in San Antonio...

SO SAY IT LOUD, SAY IT PROUD... GO SPURS GO

That's typical for D/FW. Seats at Mavs games are taken more by corporate types than real fans. It is the same for the Cowboys. Yankee fans outnumbered Ranger fans at last night's game in Arlington.

It's hard to get pumped up when the team you're playing consists of mediocre flukes Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony.

Ok, but I was just replying to the fact that he/she said that Mavs fans were loud last night. And like they weren't and you confirmed it so thanks.

You're lucky you live in Dallas. And no this isn't a threat to any poster, Kori. My point is most of the people who say comments like these, if given the opportunity, wouldn't say it in person.

Uhm, there were stretches in the 4th quarter when the Mavs arena was silent when the Warriors are leading and controlling the game...

    I'd say it, too.

It's probably the one single thing that Leonard and I agree about.

Isnt every game pivotal in the playoffs. I hate it when the networks say that. And the fans should be LOUD AND PROUD at every game.

I liked what Bill Simmons said about the Warriors arena during the Playoffs...

Games 3 and 4 reminded me of The Good Old Days, before the NBA priced out the true fans, constantly blared music on the Jumbotron and inadvertently created an environment in which casual fans couldn't think for themselves and had no real clue how to affect a game. We've reached the point that the only two old-school crowds left belong to Madison Square Garden and the Oakland Coliseum. Sad but true.
It really is sad how every sporting event now is such a circus. The AAC is the worst, the reason those fans sound so quiet (besides the fact that they are all corporate execs and salespeople on the lower level) is that they're waiting for the next instructions from Humble Billy Hayes on what to cheer.

The Spurs home crowd has occasionally made a difference. Game 7 of the 2005 Finals comes to mind. The 4th quarter of Game 6 of the 2003 Finals does as well. Of course, those cir stances would tend to excite just about any crowd.

But I have to say that watching the Warriors crowd on Friday and Sunday reminded me of the old days at HemisFair when things were crazy most of the time. Spurs fans have become spoiled, I think, by the team's successes and feel inclined to just watch until things either get really bad or really good.

The crowd last night was actually really good...I've never heard it louder at the AAC....there were some quiet stretches and a couple moments where it sounded like the crowd was gonna turn on the Mavs when it looked like it was curtains in the 4th quarter, but all in all the crowd last night was better than any Mavs crowd i've witnessed.

You're kidding right? You realize both of these players were in the running for the scoring le before they joined teams and Kobe started going off?

Oh wait you think Dwight Howard is a fluke too.

I agree, Spurs fans need to be louder and crazier. It's the playoffs-nothing is guaranteed. The Spurs would be nearly unbeatable at home if the fans were as rowdy as the GS fans.

Skip Bayless on "Cold Pizza" this morning said:

They [the Spurs] have the lowest voltage laid back home crowd in the NBA. . . The crowd doesn't lift the Spurs. This crowd sits back and waits for the Spurs to lift the crowd.
That seems a little excessive. Although I will admit that long gone are the days when Hemisfair was the "noisiest arena in the NBA."
