Is the NBA waiting until the entire first round is over... That would mean that the Spurs among other teams are going to get a good amount of rest....

Well that would make the mavs series a win win. If the series ends tommorow mavs are out....but even if the mavs win the series that gives the Spurs alot of rest. That being said.

2nd round starts this upcoming weekend. I'm guessing Sunday for the Spurs.

The Pistons play on Saturday regardless of other series'. The only thing in question is what time slot they get depending on the Utah/Hou & Dal/GS series.
