isn't Horry like 2nd in most playoff games played?
Tonight, Tim Duncan played in his 123rd playoff game for the Spurs, tying David Robinson's franchise record for playoff appearances. He'll obviously break David Robinson's record in his next playoff game.
Interesting, to a stat geek like me, is the fact that when Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen play Game 1 of the 2007 WCSF, each will play in his 86th playoff game for the Spurs. That will surpass Sean Elliott's 85 playoff appearances and make Parker and Bowen tied for 3rd all-time in playoff games, behind only Duncan and Robinson.
And all of those numbers, of course, pale in comparison to Robert Horry's 216 playoff games played.

He is. He passed Scottie Pippen last year.
He's 21 short of Kareem's record of 237.
Tim Duncan pales in comparison to nobody from where I stand. I think he's the best.
Just my opinion.
And the Spurs have, at most, 21 games left to play.
Wonder if he would come back one more year just to break the record?
Spurs would have to win the 7th game in the next three series to even tie. He's 21 short of Kareem's record of 237.
Lets just win it this year, bring him back, and break it next year![]()
I agree. Tim is the BEST!!!!!
Maybe. But if we win the le this year I think he should retire. It just seems fit that he goes out a champ.
Second on that list isn't a bad place to be. I'm hoping that he starts to make Kareem sweat a bit over keeping that record, though. Would be lots of fun to see Horry get that total up over 230 this year.
For anyone who might care, the Spurs top 10 in playoff appearances (through 5/2/07):
123 -- Robinson
123 -- Duncan
85 -- Elliott
85 -- Bowen
85 -- Parker
81 -- A. Johnson
80 -- Rose
75 -- Ginobili
57 -- Gervin
51 -- Horry
