They aren't even the favorite in the series against Phoenix.
Even though they've been the favorite to win the championship all year, many people said Dallas was the favorite. So now since there's no opposition in the playoffs left for the Spurs (except Phoenix, but not major opposition), are the Spurs set to bring home their 3rd trophy in 5 years? Duncan will have 4, Horry will have 7, Parker, Ginobili, and Bowen will have 3.
They aren't even the favorite in the series against Phoenix.
Lol ok. Here's a bet. If the Spurs win the series, I become the new forum moderator.![]()
Really? That seems crazy to me.
^ at first people just asking for a left hand....and then the whole body....lol
Which i don't get at all. Given the Spurs experience and success against the Suns. They just beat a better team in 5 games than the Suns beat in 5 games. Maybe it is just the Home Court advantage people are looking at but not only did the Spurs take the Suns out in 5 games, 2 years ago but the Suns lost all 3 home games they played in that series.
Dude that's pretty ing funny.
The key words are "2 years ago"![]()

SpursDynasty should stop posting anything revolving around the concept of which team is favored to win in the NBA.
Being the favorite in Vegas is not the same as being the "real" favorite. Vegas just wants equal money on both sides and there will be a lot of people betting on this series that only know that the Suns have a better record and HCA so they'll bet on them. Thus Vegas makes the Spurs the underdogs so they can entice people to bet on them (creating equal money on both sides). Vegas just wants their 10% vig.
I said GS was the favorite to win the series, and won the series 4-2. That wasn't just talking out of my ass. I also made a bet on that series therefore monosy1abk had to go fishing until after the playoffs.
The Spurs are the favorites to win the championship.
Let's hope Utah doesn't let me down tomorrow night, I've been saying Houston is a fluke all season long...
God forbid
Just because you say it doesnt make it true dip . The Warriors were never the favorites regardless of what you say
the winner of the serie will be the winner
I believe when most everyone hears the "favorite" to win they automatically assume who the favorite it in Vegas. You have who you think/believe is the favorite which is fine but they aren't the Vegas favorites so you really just confuse everyone.
Hopefully not. They suck when they are the favorites.
Suns will beat them, Spurs are underestimating them as are their fans.
So because the Spurs fans are underestimating them the team is? Thats got to be one of the dumbest things Ive ever heard. I find it hard to believe Pop and co. are underestimating anyone on the playoffs
Bit early for that. Sunday morning they may be. At most a couple of points (cover HCA) is about all the Suns will be favored.
By Sunday night they could easily be huge underdogs.
It will just depend on how much upfront action this series gets. San Antonio & Phoenix aren't big markets so I'm guessing there's not a lot of action and the Suns will remain a small favorite but ya really never know.
Everyone on earth drinks the Suns kool-aid when they dominate and go on long winning streaks.....then they run up against the Spurs and get reminded that they aren't the best team in basketball.
Just as the Warriors owned the Mavs in the regular season and follow suit in the playoffs, I expect the Spurs, who owned the Suns for two of their three games, to follow suit in the playoffs.
By no means do I think it will be a blowout, and it might go seven...but the Spurs will come out on top.
Need a reason? Two words....Transition Defense

Of course they all said Mavs in 5/6....
from chad ford blog
Rocke (LA): What are your thoughts on the Suns-Spurs series?
Chad Ford: I personally think this will be the best series of the playoffs. Whoever wins this, wins it all. I'm going with the Spurs in 7. I just think that defensively, they'll be able to slow the Suns just enough to slip by the Suns.
