does anybody kno when they ballots were do?? i think it would be a discrace to all of the nba if dirk wins the award after this major meltdown...

When was the last time the MVP was awarded to a player whose team had already been eliminated? Was it Malone?

To me let Dirk get the award I rather have Nash get his ring, which is what he probably wants too.

The ballots are "do" before the end of the regular season. I think Malone was the last to collect the award in street clothes, '99 I believe it was. That was a travesty anyway. The NBA wanted the ballots by Wednesday. The season wasn't over until the following Monday, and Tim and Warm Karl were considered neck and neck. Tim just PWN3D both Utah and Portland that following weekend in probably the biggest B2B regular season wins in team history to that point.
