Kerr has to give the public persona of being impartial. Maybe that is why he is picking the Suns.

Isn't that the reason Sean Elliott was fired from ESPN?

He gives the backcourt nod to the Suns...which is okay with except he only talks about Nash.....what about Finley, or Bell? Never mentions Parker either.

I think the edge still goes to the Suns but make an analysis and exclude all the parts lacks good journalism.

Doesn't Steve own a piece of the Suns? He did at one point, after his playing days...

Oh, and Sean wasn't fired from ESPN. He went from single to re-married and didn't want to be a road warrior. He gets to pick and chose his games for the Spurs, and he doesn't work more than maybe 2/3 of them, a lot of those at home.

Picking the Suns is not irrational, merely incorrect.

Kerr is a part of the investment group that purchased the Suns from the Colangelos.

Which is funny when he suits up in gray and black for the all star extracurricular garbage they shove down our throats.

That is all, well... predictions. We know what happened to those "expert predictions" with the Mavs/Warriors series.

Kerr is just pimping his investment. The Spurs will win this series, no doubt in my mind.

And calling D'Antonio and Pop equal as coaches is a stretch and a half. Stupid take. Pop has way, way, WAAAAAAAAAAY more big game experience and positive results than D'Antoni. Stupid take, Kerr.

Yeah Pop outcoached D'antoni before and he will again there is a gap there between them as coaches.

A piece of the Suns and he's an acquaintance of the team's owner.

Also, I'd take Parker and Manu over Nash and Barbosa any day. Parker and Manu are champions. Manu will have a bigger series than any of the aforementioned.

Coaching is not quite "equal" as Steve thinks, but I'm not surprised at all by the choice. This is one of those "flip a coin" series for the media anyway.

Manu and Tony will own this series, Timmy may not have to dominate if they get in the lane as much as i think they are going to.

Bottom Line: Phoenix is good defensively, so it doesn't have to score 110 to beat S.A.
I about fell out at that one.. I guess the suns are all of sudden good defensively... lol

So that's the reason Gervin was the alumni representative this year. No way we were gonna repeat without Kerr
