for what
for what
that. Manu needs to earn that .
for get back
Enough is Enough! Is sitting Elson from now on! MY stomach turns when he is out there.![]()
Yeah, Manu obviously needs more minutes so he can continue to do what he's been doing, only to a much greater degree.
So the team can get nothing from its bench? Manu, Oberto, and Horry are the only producers on the Spurs bench. If they put him in the starting lineup they'll blow every single game in the minutes where starters are getting their rest. Tony's not going to do well playing 40 minutes, and Manu can't be effective in more than 35. The Spurs can't afford to not have a scoring option on the floor when Duncan and Parker are on the bench.
We´re in trouble, right?![]()
Finley can be a force coming off the bench. When Gino got relegated to the bench to be a spark, Finley was sucking, But he is playing well now. Ginobili should start again.
When Ginobili was starting in last year's playoffs against the Mavs, who was on the bench? Wasn't it Finley (when no small ball), Barry, Horry, Van Exel, Rasho, Nazi, and Oberto?
Why can't Finley, Barry, Horry, Vaughn, Beno, and Oberto handle the bench now?
put Gino back in the starting line up
and lets see if he wakes up,
right now this is not the manu that we all know.
Manu was playing better than he ever had for a stretch off the bench this season. It shouldn't be an excuse now.
He's getting the touches and the looks. The Suns aren't paying any special attention to him. Manu just has to sack up, drive the ball and play like he wants it.
If the answer was as easy as play Manu, you would have known it tonight. Manu looked like he was 40 tonight. I think all the tumbles are starting to take a toll on him because he doesn't look nearly as fresh.
Offensively he's just not in a rhythm, and it's pissing me off. How can he be shooting so poorly and not drive to the basket? Get to the line! Rebuild your confidence in your game from inside the three-point line. He's never been the type of person to shoot himself out of a slump, he's a guy who gets rolling from getting smacked around.
I'm completely surprised Manu hasn't found his game given the pace of the two games -- especially given the pace at the points of the game he's come in.
He has, however, had a few brilliant plays as a defender and a passer.
Sometimes the Spurs look like they have enough talent to steal the championship, but on nights like tonight, the Spurs look like they are trying to stretch a dollar into 2 cokes, a pack of gum, and lemon chicken from heb.
The road to the championship is as easy as it's going to get. If the Spurs don't win this one, it's on the front office for squeezing pennies that holt tractors had already run over.
Francisco Elson as the starting center for a team that is trying to be a legitimate championship contender? That's just playing with fire.
If Timvp saw this 10 miles away, the Spurs front office shouldn't even have blinked at him. Embarrassing.
I feel sorry for the guy...he gets frustrated so easily...especially yesterday when he went to the bench and hit the chair after missing two wide open threes....
Here the people say he'll score more the next and then the next game but it is not happening...his energy level is down...
Manu's playoffs numbers 11.6 points
that's just not going to cut it for us.
Do you think manu will start next game???
yeah like finley earned to start?
when Manu shines POP benched him!? how could explain that normal human beings!??
Now that Manu sucks is logic (As we did with Turkouglu) to start him!
![]()
Not sure we had to bench him, why because he's playing well; but in the scenario that Manu needs motivation (and assuming that motivation will come with him as starter) I would accept that Mike went back to the bench.
I hate that reasoning, but you know how POP is![]()
Manu is a professional when he gets in there he should play like one..shouldn't matter
I also don't agree with starting Manu. That don't mean . he is not even coming aggressive off the bench.
He needs to show that he will put his head down and penetrate and at least get a foul called. plain and simple.
Really??...I don't remember finley or barry earning it
start him for what?
He's been sucking the big one lately.
Damn I hope he breaks his funk.
