Bonner hasn't shown anything since 2006. Oberto's a good passer, and can get a couple of garbage baskets a game. Bonner's not a playoff option anymore than Udrih or Barry are.
No. I love Bonner, but Oberto has earned minutes. He didn't play well tonight, but that was one game. Oberto has been the best bigman option outside of Duncan.
Bonner has the hustle and drive down low. We need that. BTW, did anyone see Horry not hustle at all when he turned over the ball. He tried jogging to the ball while Marion raced to it. He redeemed himself the next play with that dunk.
Oberto played good in stretches in this game.
Bonner isn't going to do anything in this series.

Out of this entire game your great take is that Oberto sucks and Bonner should play. Did you watch Elson? Pop can't get him out soon enough.
I wish Oberto could do more than slap one-handed at offensive rebounds, but he doesn't have the athleticism.
I don't see the Spurs alot, obviously, but I thought Oberto played a decent game tonight. He was tough on Amare during some stretches, I saw him get his hands in a few plays to knock the ball loose, and I saw him hustling for boards. Are you really looking for him to score much? I hope not.

Elson plain sucks. I didn't see the game, but just hearing how he back rimmed a wide open dunk, and he's 7 feet tall, was lame. I thought he was supposed to be athletic. He might be, but he seems to have little guts and poise.

oberto, yes...dood is a savvy b-ball player despite his lack of athleticism. he knows angles, when to cut, when to move to the open spot, taps out rebounds to his players if he can't corral the board, sets great picks. he'd be a monster if he were tall and more athletic.
elson? this guy just confounds me. has the athleticism and doesn't know how to use it. i think a rock has a higher b-ball IQ. missing that dunk last night showed me that at 30, this guy doesn't have IT and never will.
