LET IT RIDE, Spurs 101, Suns 93
Suns and Spurs will split in SA and this series goes 7. SA takes game 3 but PHO comes back for a nailbiter in Game 4.
Bowen punches Nash in the mouth but AmbChang insists no contact was ever made by finding a freeze frame just before contact occurs and citing it as conclusive evidence of no foul.
Spurs 107 x Suns 98
I predict ...
- Kenny and Barkley will state the obvious at halftime and the postgame
- Amare will do at least two pushups during the game, winning or losing
- Bowen will trip over his own feet and hold a press conference after the game questioning his own behavior
- Alonzo Mourning will again come to Bowen's defense
- The Sports Guy will write a next-day column hailing either (a) the genius of Nash or (b) the genius of Duncan, and pretend like no one has ever uttered those words before.
- Mario Cuomo will hold a press conference in New Hampshire to let everyone know he is still not running for president. (For Dave Barry fans who miss him).
- Regardless of the outcome, the word "booger" will still be funny in any and all contexts.
- Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon will bet San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardberger if the Suns lose the series, Gordon will walk 100 feet barefoot on a Phoenix sidewalk at 2 p.m. in the middle of June. Hardeberger responds by announcing he will swim the San Antonio River if the Spurs lose. If the Spurs win, however, he would much rather see Amare Stoudemire doing that barefoot walking on the sidewalk thing. Upon this announcement, millions of San Antonioans volunteer for Hardberger's campaign for governor. Southwest Airlines runs out of space on advance fairs to Phoenix from San Antonio.
- Gaddabout will begin to fade away until next season.
