yeah 110 isn't really that badass. I went to a world series game at the metrodome that was downright painful to the ears. But that's 58,000 in a dome.

I went to two games of the detroit/spurs championship and it was pretty loud. Spurs fans can crank it up if they have to.

The Hemisfair Arena was very loud. It was proclaimed by the PA Stan Kelly as "The Noisiest Arena in the NBA" although I still think Chicago Stadium (prior to the move) and Arco Arena were probably louder.

I went to Blazers v. Spurs game during David and Sean's first playoff series and my ears were ringing driving home. That ringing of the ears hasn't happened to me since the move to the Alamodome and SBC/AT&T Center.

It got pretty loud at the Hemisphere. The loudest game I went to at the Hemisphere was game six against Portland in '90. That was probably the loudest basketball crowd I have ever experienced. The Dome was loud when there was the 35,888 sellout. But it didn't have that reverberation or the enclosed atmosphere like the Hemisphere.

I actually liked the old Hemisfair Arena.

Shows how old I am--but that place was great!

    Noisy as !

I went to lots of games at Hemisfair, but absolutely nothing compared to the Memorial Day Miracle at the Dome. I don't know why it doesn't sound like much on tv, but the Dome literally sounded like a freight train was coming 10 feet behind me in the fourth quarter.

The guys running the meter in Oakland weren't using it right anyway. It got above 110 a number of times but the meter wasn't set to read it.

I was there for that game. My ears rang for days. It was GREAT! Nothing will ever compare to HemisFair in the old days. Nothing.
