i'm a huge fan of buck harvey and i feel he's definitely one of the best sportswriters in the nation, and easily the best in SA. what you do you guys think?

He has some creativity and interesting perspectives but over the past several years, some of his articles have left me wondering what his point is or what conclusion I am supposed to draw.
I still remember when Buck was younger (in the 1980s), he accurately predicted that the Dodgers would beat the Oakland A's...at the beginning of the World Series. He was swimming against the current on his opinion but he ended up being right in a series highlighted by Kurt Gibson's dramatic home run.

He's pretty good. Kind of aloof at times. I'd like to see him on Around the Horn, would be funny.
You want to read great sports writing? Check out Paul Daugherty of the Cincinnati Enquirer. He's my favorite.
Buck ain't bad...I think the list of people worse than him is longer. And he does usually have a good take on what's going on. It's just occasionally he gets damn obtuse.
Dan Cook back in the day was ok.
