Wrong that Suns were going to be an easy out and easier than the Nuggets, for one reason and one reason only - Steve Nash.

Still it took 5 minutes of mega-Spurs "melt down" (just as much on defense as on offense, and Popovich held Duncan out too lnog) and some good play by the Suns, especially Nash, that this series was going to be truly compe ive.

However, the truth of the Suns is that except for Nash, Thomas and Marion the rest are severely over-rated (and most of the rest are also whinners) and Amare, although greatly talented, is still a work in progress.

Spurs will use this meltdown and regroup. Spurs in six.

Even if Amare and Diaw are there for G5, I like the Spurs to advance. Three of the four games have been the halfcourt grind it out affairs that the Spurs prefer. They had this one until Duncan picked up the fifth foul and Pop elected to take him out.

    Suns over-rated?
If Nash hadn't of gotten hurt at the end of game 1, we'd likely be down 3-1. The Spurs didn't bother to show up in game 2, and the Suns came out strong in a must-win situation.
And today, the Suns shocked and embarrassed us with a gritty come-from-behind win on our homecourt. They made us look like pretenders with their clutch play.

If that's not bad enough, we made ourselves look stupid asnd over-the-hill with massive coaching errors, weak tentative play in the 4th, and not to mention Horry's blunder that played right into the spin the Suns are working with the refs.

If anything, it appears we underestimated the Suns, and they've grown up a lot in this series. What can we say for our Spurs? We're not getting better as the playoffs roll on. In fact, it's starting to look more and more like the window is about to be slammed shut.

"If Nash hadn't of gotten hurt at the end of game 1, we'd likely be down 3-1"

Highly debatable as Parker played Nash to a draw in game one, and Nash missed a wide open 3 before he went out (he hit one but missed an easier one.) Suns had the supposed 6th man in their and he messed it up, period.

Spurs should be up 3-1 anyway you look at it. However, it is what it is, and Spurs will re-group and move on.
