I have not found anyone discussing the fact that Pop not only came onto the court but was on the court past the half court line-- are there any possible ramifications for him?

I wish Pop would get suspended for getting outcoached in that 4th quarter. Maybe P.J. would be better in Game 5.![]()
ploto - you're a joke ... seriously. Do us a favor and cancel your internet and pawn off your PC.
What is the deal with you people-- tense today? I have seen refs make coaches get back in the coaching area during many games; they are not allowed past half court- and that is even just on the sidelines and not on the actual court. Everyone wants to get picky- so we have to look at everyone, including what went on at the Spurs bench. I think if suspensions come down there will be more than people think if they say they have to suspend everyone whose toes crossed the line.
It's not actually that stupid a question - no, I've never heard of coaches getting into fights and I've never known the rule to apply the coaches. But I'm not sure it shouldn't. More and more coaches are young, and not that far away from being active players. Coaches do out-of-line things too, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a coach in a physical altercation at some point, and if that's the case, why wouldn't they draw the line wide enough to include coaches as well?
It's not an issue that's going to affect Pop or this situation, but it's a theoretical issue that should probably be tackled by the league office at some point.
Ploto, I see your point. But it doesn't apply to coaches because they don't have a history of throwing down with each other and fans.
Isn't it a coaches job to control his players when a scuffle breaks out? It's hard to do that from the bench. Same goes for the Phoenix coaches...they shouldn't be punished for going on the floor and trying to hold back their players.
I don't think that's the job of the coach. It's the job of the coach to try and win the game.
I think it's the job of each individual player to play as hard as they can, but to also exercise self-control when it comes to managing their frustration.
There's no rule that says a coach gets suspended for going on the court.
There is a rule saying that players who leave the "immediate vicinity" of the bench area during an altercation get suspended.
no just sick of your trolling bullWhat is the deal with you people-- tense today?
<insert little thought>
I think ploto is the guy who everyone, including his own family, fantasize about beating the out of due to his incredibly annoying nature
She's a woman.
Aw, c'mon. I wanna see D'antoni vs. Pop. A rumble in the jungle. in a cell. Halftime entertainment for game 7!!
That explains so much. I apologize then, because women are irrational by nature. Sorry ploto.
That makes a little more sense...I had been thinking it was quite disturbing for a grown man to be so infatuated with and NBA player.
Pop would kill him in a second flat. I wouldnt with Pop.
