they are on the top of the webpage now
hmmm...
I've always had a choice of what to search in icons above the firefox/google search box...
web, images etc.
Those disappeared yesterday.
Did this happen to anyone else? I've gone through all the preference settings and can't find any way to get them back.
any suggestions from you computer guys?

hmmm...I don't know how to post the whole screen like you just did, but trust me...it was there yesterday and gone today.
CRTL and Prnt Screen then open paint and paste it.
That sucks if it's not there. Try IE? just type in the images.google.com, news.google.com, scholar.google.com you want?
You know that doesn't work on the forum, right? The pic has to be hosted somewhere on the web, and linked to.
I thought that was implied, that it would need to be uploaded.
Me neither...using Firefox, and those links have disappeared for me too.
