It's about as re ed as trying to get the commissioner to cheat for you. If and when the Spurs win the championship, nobody will even remember who their second round opponent was.
IF the Spurs win tonight... everyone in the country outside of South Texas and a few guys in New York (Stern and Stu Jackoff-a-saurus) will say that the series was taintned and the Spurs didn't deserve it... asterisk, etc.
How can the Spurs regain their "classy" image and not be hated by everyone for years to come?
I'll tell you how... if they lose tonight in San Antonio but then can go to Phoenix in game 7 and win there in a hostile environment... they will gain back some respect and hush the critics.

The commissioner stuck with the rules rather than give a popular team a pass. Nobody is going to conclude that, and nobody will be listening to the whines of a bunch of losers.
You know, if Raja Bell had not gone after Horry, we would not have had that whole mess.
People will talk about it during the next series. But by the finals it will have become a mere side topic and by the draft nobody will care anymore. Sure, the occasional sports commentor might mention it early next season, but beyond the occasional mentioning it will be pretty uncommon. Of course, in Phoenix you'll probably be discussing it for the next 10 years.
