Oh, I get it: best whiner in the last ten years. My bad.
D'Antoni said that Nash is the best player in the last 10 years.
I'm not sure that he is in the top 5.
Duncan is far, far superior. That's easy.
Shaq was better.
(3 finals mvps - vs 0 trips to the finals).
Jordan was the greatest of all time.
Stockton, Malone, Robinson, LeBron, Kobe, Kidd? ...
Do you put Nash in the top 5 in the last 10 years?
I can't.
Oh, I get it: best whiner in the last ten years. My bad.
Never been out of the West, yet people still think he deserved his 3rd MVP. I don't get it.
Without any defense, I don't know that he deserved any of the mvps to be honest. Perhaps one of them, but last year, Kobe deserved it.
How many all defensive teams has Nash made? Isn't defense half of the game?
In the minds of most, it is the part that determines champions.
guy is the best offensive pg/player since Jordan. Remember, all D'Antoni sees is offense.
Horrible statement. Shaq, Kobe, Timmy, Kidd come to mind first. Nash is on a TMac, Lebron, Carter level at best.
Then after the game you got the experts saying, see, Phoenix can't win playing that fast paced style in the post season(like we didn't already know that). Well if their style doesn't equate to winning les, how can you justify giving him multiple MVP awards? It seems incredibly silly.
worst defensive player to ever win the mvp award in the last 15 years and that includes die dirk
he may be the worst defensive player in the league period.
Lebron?? do not even put him on that list, hes as young as some rookies in the NBA.
Then, it's not just me.
I guess I shouldn't have been shocked, but it seemed so hard to justify.
Tmac and Lebron are both > Kidd
Honestly, and it may surprise some people, but I would take Billups over Nash.
Defense.
It definitely could be argued.
And, for me, without a doubt I take Kidd over Nash. I have no reservation about that at all.
I'd take Billups Kidd and Parker over him in a heartbeat.
Top 4 probably. Behind Tim, Shaq, and Kobe.
You forgot about MJ???????????????
Tim and Shaq definitely better over the last 10 years. I wouldn't have that much of a problem slating him third after those two, but arguments can also be made for Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, Kobe, and Jason Kidd after Duncan and Shaq.
There are a lot of guys that haven't won les in the last ten years that have talent. Nash probably wouldn't be in my top ten or fifteen. How many half way decent point guards in the NBA would put up incredible numbers in that system with that talent? I guess we'll never know becaues they've never even had so much as a servicable backup for Nash.
Well now you know why all the sportswriters wanted Nash to win this year![]()
In no particular order, my top 10 are
Duncan
Shaq
Kobe
Kidd
Iverson
Garnett
McGrady
Billups
Nash
Dirk
Duncan, is, by FAR, the best player of the past decade.
EDIT> My top 5 are
Duncan
Shaq
Kobe
Garnett
Kidd
So let's see we're going back to '97 right? This is about how I would rank them, I may be leaving a few off.
1 Jordan
2 Duncan
3 Shaq
4 Robinson
5 Kobe
6 Malone
7 Dirk
8 Jason Kidd
8b Kevin Garnett
9 Gary Payton
10 Steve Nash
11 Stockton
12 Lebron
13 Dwade
14 TMac
15 Allen Iverson
^^ I left off some of those guys in your list because they only played one or two years in the past decade.
Yeah but going with the letter of the law, just to piss of D'antoni, you gotta include them.
Nash better than stocton lebron wad tmac and iverson!??????? And where is barkley?
