I think he'll guard Deron
Will he again guard the opposing PG's, this time Deron Williams and Fisher?
I think he'll guard Deron
The place he can cause the most disruption, Williams
MOSTLY Deron (in the 2nd half). But I think Pop will switch up who he's on. It'll be a Shawn Marion situation where he'll be prompted to keep Kirilenko off the offensive boards in the first half I think. I do NOT doubt that he'll do spot duty on Mr. Boozer himself. That'd be nightmare for Carlos regardless of size. Bruce is deceptively strong. I think Tony plays Deron straight up for a majority of the game.
My wish? That Bruce STAYS on Derek Fisher every in mili-second that he's on the floor. That "0.4" asshole still pisses me off...
Williams for sure, probably Kirilenko as well?
Deron Williams for sure.
He's got the length and foot-speed to disrupt his timing and forays into the lane. He can also get up and disrupt his shot a bit. I think he'll be his primary target.
I would imagine that at times he'll be switched onto Kirilenko and maybe Okur if he catches on fire from the perimeter.
I see Bowen guarding Williams. Deron is a spot-up shooter, so minimizing his points and distribution will be a must.
When it's a Deron and Fisher backcourt, I'm assuming that Pop will put Bowen on Deron and Parker on Fisher. However, when the Jazz go to a bigger lineup that doesn't include a small shooting guard, it'll be interesting to see how Pop matches up. Will he trust Parker on someone like Giricek or will he switch and let Parker guard Deron?
And if Bowen is having too much success on Deron, Sloan will put out a lineup of Deron, Kirilenko, Harpring, Boozer and Okur and force Bowen off of Deron.
It's going to be an interesting chess match.
call me crazy but I can see Bowen guarding Okur on the outside.
You're crazy.
Whomever it is...you can bet they won't whine about it. Jerry Sloan will kick their ass if they do.
If Bowen guards Williams, who will Parker guard?
