this is my first thread
I follow the spurs they are on tv in france (since tp came)
and I started going to spurs forums
and I am surprise many fan don't like tp
even after a good game like sunday they find a way to bash him
I'm new so if someone can explain me, please?

I will admit though it was not one of his best games
but atleast 2 of those turnovers were not his fault!

Many fans are rednecks who hate the french because their parents were rednecks who also hated the french. They may have attended school, but rednecks are uneducable so it makes no difference.
Just ignore them like you would ignore a dog in a park.
BTW, Pop is NOT a redneck, his bashing of Tony is his way of caring...
Point guards are always under the most scrutiny from a fan base. They have (along with centers) the toughest job on the team. You read other team's forums and you'll find the same thing out of their fans regarding their point guards. The point guard is the first player blamed and the last to receive credit. The last point guard who was universally loved by their fans might have been Magic Johnson.
Spurs fans expect too much from all their players. Whileas some other NBA fans want their players to be at least decent.

Parker is only 25 years old...
He'll get better, and he's already one of the best point guards in the NBA.
I like Tony Parker. I get mad at him when he s up, but i get mad at the other guys when they do too. And I am very proud of the progress hels made the last 2 seasons especially.
Stick around the forum for awhile - there are some people here that would love to trade manu, or just kill him off.
Personally I think it's all re ed. But i guess it's better for a fanbase to be able to discuss the teams flaws then pretend that everything is perfect.

I began the season thinking Parker's days with the Spurs might be numbered, but he's turned out to be a gamechanger and in good stretches the most difficult Spur to guard, and so the most important. I feel his command of the game is stronger now than it ever has been. I'm a real believer in him now. Mistakes? Yes, but so many positives. Everyone makes mistakes.
Welcome! I like Parker. I like all the Spurs, but I get on all of them when they have bad games, but realize they're human and will have a bad game from time to time.
