Pop is playing our big 3 more minutes too.
I'm worried like mad about the lack of a two-day rest period for the Spurs since.... many games ago.
Bowen, Ginobilli and Parker looked gassed beyond belief at the end of game 1. I think fatigue can be "more" of a problem for game 2 because the Spurs still haven't had a 2 day rest period, and the Jazz really don't need one.
I am worried that Jazz might win game 2 because of this. Can anyone tell me why there is no "minimum 2 days between playoff rounds" rule? This is just ridiculous.
Game 2 will be the Spurs' 4th game in 7 days. And the 4 games span over two different cities and two different opponents. RIDICULOUS!
Pop is playing our big 3 more minutes too.
I am worried about the big layoff from tuesday to saturday
glad they are getting it in ]one way
they played like 6 games in 11 days
Because it penalizes teams for dispatching their oppenents faster.
The Spurs looked like they were maiing it in during the second half. One man's exhaustion is another's conservation, I suppose.
NBA could have scheduled game 2 for wenesday. That would mean 2 days rest after both game 1 and 2.
That way the Spurs could have gone all out for Game 1 knowing that they'll have 2 days to rest. Instead, Spurs still had to push Parker, Ginobilli, Bowen and aren't facing a 2 day rest period.
I think Jazz will outrebound Spurs by a huge number tomorrow. Spurs better shoot an amazing fg% and play some great D.
Mailing it in? That's not why Parker and Ginobilli were missing late game freethrows while their faces looked like they were half dead.
That's not the reason. The reason is ESPN telling NBA to schedule the game for weekend.
The Spurs have never missed late-game free throws?
TV contracts. They owed ABC/ESPN a game Sunday. Can anyone tell me why there is no "minimum 2 days between playoff rounds" rule? This is just ridiculous.
Manu front rimming all those freethrows doesn't signal fatigue? Manu is a FT machine, and he never front-rims so many.
They have 2 days plus off, because it's a night game on Tuesday and it was an afternoon game on Sunday. Also they didn't have to travel. Also they know they will get a big break after Tuesday and they can expend all their energy Tuesday night.
They'll be fine rest-wise Tuesday night.
Guaransheed?
If they get outrebunded by 25+, I'm going to have to kick your ass. Sorry.
Unless you can get Stern to change the Gregorian calendar and the American work week, I don't see anything coming of this.
Tuesday vs. Wednesday.
I'm telling you man, if spurs dont' have a 10+ lead by halftime tomorrow, they're dead meat.
Chances are they'd be be outrebounded by that much with a full week's rest.
Sunday vs. Monday.
They can rest in July and August.
Bingo!
Who comes up with this stupid schedule?
Silver Stars have an home game Wenesday.
that might be a problem with spurs playing wednesday
This thread is pretty D'Antonish.
I'm not worried at all. This thread doesn't deliver IMHO.
Parker said after the game that he has missed FTs at the end of the game because he was tired.
A soon game sunday has allowed Spurs to have two good nights of sleep. Parker is young, Bowen and Manu haven't played a lot sunday : they shouldn't be that bad Tuesday.
Artie Fufkin: "You know what I want you to do? Will you do something for me?"
David St. Hubbins: "What?"
Artie Fufkin: "Do me a favor. Just kick my ass, okay? Kick this ass for a man, that's all. Kick my ass. Enjoy. Come on. I'm not asking, I'm telling with this. Kick my ass."
