Where were you sitting? They finished strong as .
Rocked my balls... 2 hours and I only counted 8 songs... but damn it was good .
Where were you sitting? They finished strong as .
You've never been to a tool show have you?
How did you guess?![]()
Their songs are typicaly very long on the CD cuts but they get HUGE when played live. Tool does one of the best visual concerts ever though, and its awesome to watch. I thought the show tonight was pretty freaking sweet just based on the visuals alone.
maybe it's me but i thought it sucked, the bass was too loud and you couldn't even hear the vocals but i was sitting upper level. Biggest disappointment is that they didn't play any of their old stuff, or good stuff, or anything i like. Basically they played every song from the new album except the good songs (the pot, vicarious), which makes no sense to me. 2 hours and 1 of those hours was just keyboards and weird noises but they did have a great light and laser showi waited 8 months for 8 songs

Uh, they played Stinkfist, Schism, Lateralus and 46&2. Those aren't new songs. Actually I thought the way they ended with Lateralus was bad ass.
I do agree the vocal track was low, but I guess I've gotten used to that being the case at most rock concerts. This was my first AT&T center concert and I remembered why I hated going to arenas and large venues for concerts - the acoustics always blow.
Tool shows never leave you satisfied if you are wanting a specific song because they play so few per show.
Oh yeah, Danny had a Spurs jersey on. Bonus.![]()
dude, their new album sucks. i don't listen to it and i don't like but 2 songs off of it and it happens it's the 2 songs they don't play off that album. I paid to see Tool not a ing laser light show with what sounded like whales or some . worst concert i've been too, i nearly fell asleep. anyone can hide behind lasers and a good light show, real bands don't need that to put on a good show.
Tool live = Spiderman 3
It was your first Tool concert right?
first and last
Thats cool, just not your thing. It is different and thats one of the reasons I like it but its not something everyone is into.
It's too bad because Tool is one of my favorite bands, i just think they suck live now. I'm more of an old school Tool fan anyway and they didn't play a single song from undertow, if they would have just did an encore with sober i might have been happy. Instead i sat threw an hour of new material, lasers and noise for nothing![]()
I had a lot more fun at the concert a few years ago. It was GA on the floor.
Tonight's show was visually the best I've ever seen. Fantastic. I was next to the ceiling in the back, and the plus on that was the vantage visually, however the sound was definitely lacking being that far away. As said earlier the vocals were too low, and I like my ribs to vibrate from the sound, which they didn't. But, it was an excellent show musically without a doubt. That was only my second show at ATT. MUSE from floor, about twenty yards from the stage sounded great. I won't go to another show at that venue without much better (= closer) seats.
Anyway, yeah...it ing rocked.
My husband and son were in the 1st row. This will be my son's last concert on a school night. He's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrred. I would let him stay home but he missed a lot of school last week
I was in a lower level lux box on the left side... kind of had to turn my body the whole show to see, but still a great seat.
I was disappointed not to hear Prison Sex, but I'm over it.
Anyone know the name of that first "band" that opened (the crazy bassist and drummer)?
so now I am 0-2 this year for weeknight concerts.
Dude that show was bad ass...if you don't think so then you're really not a Tool fan...you have to appreciate everything each band member can do with their perspective talents...visuals were great...yeah you could barely hear the vocals...but if you're a fan...you knew the damned lyrics anyway...and yeah...was it a Ginoboli jersey...I was way at the top so couldn't really make it out...
Did y'all realize the players who sat in last night were from King Crimson?
Verrrrrrrrrrrrrry cool.
The opening band was Kinski.
I've got some good news and some bad news....the good news is.....there is no bad news...
They played over 3 hrs in Albuquerque, they must like us Messicans better.![]()
King Crimson was the first opening band then... Kinski was second and... well they blew.
This setlist bores me.....I wish they'd take out Schism, add Pu , take out Vicarious, add Eulogy, take out wings for marie/10k days, add the ending triad on lateralus
Lateralus tour has still been the best one yet.
But Tool's stage show has just gotten better. The lasers are like twice as good as they were a year ago, and they did little seugeways between songs, they made some really eerie bizarre soundin .
Tool rocks![]()
I caught Kinski's last three songs, their very last one was pretty tight i thought.
So, to everyone who went to the SA show--did it make the wait worth it?
Wasn't it a second make-up date?
Was the pit seated?
